Better Late than Never!

We wanted to keep everyone up to date and let them know that Steven had his first day of pre-school about two weeks ago. We literally got a call from the pre-school on a Tuesday evening that a spot had opened up (he was on a waiting list) and he started the next morning.

Other big news....Steven is 4 years old TODAY! We celebrated with our family tonight (we missed Grandpa & Grandma Bosworth, but thanks for stopping by earlier to drop off Steve's present!!), and he is having his first birthday party with a couple of his closest friends on Saturday. When we asked him what kind of a party he wanted, we were surprised at his response. "Mommy, I want a Garbage Truck party." Wow, how were we gonna pull that off. Well, I think Michelle did an amazing job. Here are a couple pics from the party tonight.

The kids....

Can you read his mind? I hear something like this.... "no one else better even think of blowing out my candles."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVEN! WE LOVE YOU!!

Long Time, No Post...

Every time I look at everyone else's blog, I think to myself.....man I need to put an update out there. So here it is. We've obviously kept ourselves busy with work and our social life, which is the envy of every celebrity in Hollywood! What can I say, we know how to party....

Pictures seem to tell the best stories, so I'll let them do the talking. We recently went to Kansas City, Kansas to see my big sister get married. This was a blast, and we really wish we could be closer to everyone and be able to have the means to get together more often.

Here are Michelle and Steven at the fountain in downtown Kansas City the night of Kelly's dress rehearsal. I cannot remember ever going down to the Plaza as an adult, but it was really nice.

Other activities.....

Steven and Emmett had a blast going to see Christian's football game in Lawrence! The first picture is them getting some good use on the track. The second picture I post only because it was taken about 1 second before Steven and Emmett tumbled to the ground. You can see that Steven is hugging Emmett, and he just kept squeezing until they fell off the top of the bleachers. No one was hurt too badly, right!

The FROG!! Yep, Steven found a frog under a rock at the end of the football game. This picture captures the serenity of the moment, and not the next five minutes of crying and kicking when he was told that he had to leave the frog in his "home." It's great to be a boy!

One last picture for this post. I finally got to take my family to my old stomping grounds, the Louisburg Cider Mill. We loved visiting and showing the kids around. It brought back lots of great memories of being together as kids and running around with my mom and dad. I'm glad I could share that with my family.

Here are the kids playing in the infamous trough outside the Country Store at the cider mill.

We love and miss everyone who is looking at this post. Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible for our family. We had such a great time, and we love you all!!

Ouch!

Well....Steven is taking after his dad more and more these days. As seen below, he has added the first real scar to his head. He's got a ways to go to catch up to his dad's four scars on his noggin'. "Keep it up young man, and some day you can be just like me."
He was playing and fell off his bed and hit his head on the corner of an open drawer. Ouch! He cried a little and then toughed it out.

Just a couple more picture to update you on what's been going on lately. Kevin had his birthday this past month, and grandpa Boz got us some awesome Coldstone ice cream to compliment the Rainbow Chip cupcakes (mmmm, my favorite).

The most recent event is Steven has started a fun week long class that exposes him to three sports: basketball, baseball, and soccer. Steven has enjoyed getting out in the sun and dribbling the soccer ball, shooting a basket, and running the bases. Look close and you'll see we've got another lefty on our hands. (I'm secretly cheering inside! Don't tell Michelle!)

While Steven is out doing his best, Kate is doing her best to look good on the sidelines. Here are two pictures of her strutting her stuff at the fields. Look out boys!!

Summer Fun

Well...we just got back from our week long getaway to the beautiful Pinery Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. I wanted to try and get a quick post up before the children yank me off the computer. Our family is doing well, and we'll be trying to survive this summer as Kevin will be gone a bit through July and August due to work. I will be working to race events this summer at the Michigan Internatinoal Speedway, one Indy race and the other is a NASCAR race. I have posted some pictures from our campout, as well as the NASCAR race that Steven, Michelle, Kate, and Rob (Michelle's little brother) all attended. HOT DAY!!!!

If you look close, you can see the car right down on the wall, it was going about 160 MPH!! It was so loud, I don't know how the poor kid did it.

Of course, Steven found his way to the Crocs tent.

Our family on the beach at Lake Huron. Steven always had a stick with him, it was his "fishing pole."
Here is Steven "fishing" in the lake. His method was slamming the water with his stick as hard as he could, and then asking us if we saw the fish on the end of his pole....so cute.
Keep me in your prayers so that I can keep this up. I really want everyone to have a place to see updates on our family, because we love seeing yours. Love you and miss you all!!

Long Time....No Write

Well, it's been quite some time since we updated this, over a year to be exact.

Just found out that our big plans to relocate to Phoenix seem to have been squashed. We are awaiting the final word from work, but it looks like we'll be sticking around the Metro Detroit area.

Here is the most recent picture we have of most of us from lunch after Grandma Boz's funeral. I hope to keep putting these up as time goes on and I have more to tell.
